Building Bridges with Ballroom

Film screening at the Chatham Orpheum, to benefit Chance to Dance

We are proud to announce ‘Building Bridges with Ballroom’ - a new 2017 initiative that will successfully inspire, encourage and develop many individuals and groups in our Cape Cod community through ballroom dance.

For the past two years, Studio 878 in Chatham has been my home. The studio has been a hub for ballroom education serving a wide demographic – from 6 years of age to 93 years young. The studio has seen  exponential growth in the past 18 months. In 2016 , the Chance to Dance youth scholarship program was created, which helps to provide a ballroom education to any child within the Cape Cod community, regardless of financial means. This project (under the umbrella of the Studio 878 trust) covered the cost of ballroom shoes, costuming, competition entries and exposure to world-renowned coaches.  Without the generous support of our donors, we would not be able to offer this program.

Classes are held at Studio 878, Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.

$10 drop in; scholarships available.
